Quincy Jones said : “Peranzzetta is one of the best arrangers nowadays”. Peranzzetta has received three Sharp Music Prizes as Best Arranger, Best Composer, and Best Interpreter.

In his record output, he has produced 37 solo CD's, as well as hundreds as a pianist, producer, and orchestrator.

He was the main arranger for top Brazilian artists as Simone, F..tima Guedes, Gal Costa, Joyce, Elizete Cardoso, Gonzaguinha, Joana, Edu Lobo being for ten years the music director and arranger for Ivan Lins.

As composer his music was recorded by Sarah Vaughn, George Benson, Patti Austin, Jack Jones, Terence Blanchard, Dianne Schurr, Dianne Reeves, Quincy Jones, Toots Thielemans and Shirley Horn. His musical composition assets reaches over 150 songs.

He also has composed various sound tracks for films, television, and his music, 'September,' was included in the sound track of the series 'Dallas' and in the film 'Boyz in the Hood'.
Since 1985 very frequently Gilson presents hilmself in the USA, Japan, France, Belgium, Germany (Gilson performed as arranger, soloist and conductor with WDR Big- Band – K..ln in 2002 and 2004), and Spain, where he lived for three years.

As for concert music, Peranzzetta has composed two suites: "Mirage" and “Metamorfose” for piano and orchestra, in addition to the “Cantos da Vida” (Songs of Life) and "Waltz for Lili," for piano and chamber orchestra, and many others for small groups.
November 2007 Peranzzetta will perform again as conductor and arranger with WDR Big- Band, in Koeln – Germany , with the project “REMEMBERING JOBIM”.
