Gabriele Pesaresi, extraordinarily elegant bassist, he enriched the songs with his good taste and with his refinement of sound. He gave us also some unforgettable solos.
At the soprano, alto, tenor sax and flute the special participation of Davide Di Gregorio, who minded also the arrangements for brass and strings. With his solos a little jazz and a little funky he is a really great artist.
Alle Montecchi, at the first project as co-leader, recognizable from his singable style and from his bright and smooth timbre. Even if he always keeps a important sound his "guitarism" is not self-centred and he stays always weaved in the whole music.
Above all Giuly Modesti, a real star, a delicate voice, with character, she doesn't need to prove "muscular power" or to copy other artists, or to conceal her influences; an artist who bases all on the warmth and on her interpretation, in a personal and romantic way. In Jazz Prologo obviously we have the historical songs of the great jazz tradition, reinterpreted, but not upset. We have left wide spaces for the italian music. Jazz Prologo is a lovely record as for who loves and lives for Jazz, as for who hasn't a great knowledge of jazz but appreciates great music.
Jazz Prologo doesn't want to be nothing "to write home about" or too progressive. No "Historical Landmarks". It doesn't burst on the scene in order to make it over. It's simply good music. Sweet, cheerfull and positive music that we hope you will enjoy.
