James Vargas is without doubt one of the most recognised,respected and sought after saxophonists in dance music today.

He has recording credits with Ministry of Sound, Defected, Duffnote and Om records, features on scores of compilations and performs at the most glamorous house music nights all over the world. James has a unique style and approach to his live performance which never fails to entice and impress a discerning, music loving crowd.

DJs and artists who can testify to his talent include Richard Earnshaw,Copyright,Central Avenue,Roed Svensk, Lisa Millett,Ron Carrol,Shovell, Aaron Ross,Brandon Block,Freemasons,Mark Farina,Dj Fluid and Groove Junkies. He has held residencies at Pacha, El Divino, Mambo and Savannah in Ibiza as well as Plastik in Dubai and toured with Hed Kandi and Miss Moneypenny worldwide.

James' debut smooth jazz album "James Vargas" on trippin records was distributed by Virgin in 2005 and garnered him 2 billboard USA radio top 20 hits. He plans to funk things up a bit for his eagerly anticipated second solo album which will be ready for release in the summer of 2011.

In the meantime he will be taking care of sax duties for Richard Earnshaw's live shows this year,featuring the mighty Jocelyn Brown amongst other distinguished talent,and also with his long term musical co-conspirator,the supremely talented Leburn Maddox (Jimmy Castor,Lionel Ritchie,Rosie Gaines) whose debut solo album will be released this year.
