Simply put, Jeff Sparks produces life music that is affixed within multi-generations; a seamless hybrid of old and new; a cleaver ‘twist’ on classic jazz. With the mission of keeping his audience in the palm of his hand; note, line, and tempo; Sparks has proven for the last 20 years, that he knows how to use his saxophone to move the crowd.

Classically trained as a jazz musician at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, his musical colleagues are our musical geniuses, and with a new album in the works for Spring 2010, audiences can expect that he will deliver timeless music. Yes, timeless, but uniquely passionate about delivering a musical product that goes full circle; capturing lovers of music of all generations. Keeping all hands in the air and all minds off of outside influences is what makes Jeff Spark’s style of performing jazz music special.

His latest CD is appropriately titled; “Love.Life.Soul.” takes listeners on a musical journey through joyous, passionate moments. Being influenced early in his career by John Valentino saxophonist for The R&B group The Whispers, he developed a passion for entertaining. “I would take the stage over a studio any day because I love connecting with people,” Sparks confidently states. “I’m an entertainer sent to create experiences that put my audience right in the palm of my hands.”

His mission is to counter the misconception that traditional jazz music is very slow tempo and predictable, so expect “Love.Life.Soul.” to ooze the unexpected and prepare for grooves that talk to your spirit and ring within your soul. He has devised a way to incorporate his classical style into a new approach, giving audiences a mix of gospel, funk, soul, and rhythm and blues sounds with seamlessness and continuity.

Throughout the years, music has undergone various transitions. Jeff Sparks has been right there in the pocket, sticking and moving with the ebbs and flows of change. The great thing is that for the last couple of decades, he has used his God-given talent to speak to people through his saxophone. Jeff Sparks believes “God created music, and through his anointing, is able to make timeless music.” “Love.Life.Soul.” enjoins the souls of his listeners drawn together by phrase rhythms and tongue flutters, and delivers life music that is eternally rich in sound and exalted by His grace.
