Her family came to the conclusion that she was destined to be a vocalist because the moment she came out of the womb, her first cry had the sound of a note that only a vocalist could hit.
By the time she was seven, Kari was performing on stage at Disneyland's “Golden Horseshoe” in a girls group called “The Little Tots” who were discovered and managed by Hollywood's own, highly acclaimed Film Producer, Cassius Weathersby, which sparked the interest of famed Producer and Composer, H. B. Barnum. During her middle and high school years, Kari continued her pursuit of music by performing in various talent shows and drama productions that prepared her to become a professional vocalist. In college, her studies included music appreciation, voice technique, sight-singing, dance, and theater arts.
Once the industry heard a glimpse of her voice, it did not take long for her to impress some of the best in the industry, which led to her being featured on the “Jackee and Friends Show,” produced by Darryl Lovett (DLUV Productions). She was also featured on the soundtrack of the re-make movie made for television”To Sir With Love II” starring Sidney Poitier. This year, Kari was invited to join a cast of celebrities including Chante Moore, Tata Vega, and Sheldon Reynolds (EWF) to perform in honor of Michael Jackson whose Award was accepted by his brother, Tito Jackson, an unforgettable experience that shows she has already made a name for herself and her appeal just continues to grow.
Kari Taylor has been recognized by renowned entertainment entities. She is a two-time winner of the BMI Showcase, KJLH Radio Talent Competitions, the Songwriters Showcase, and others. Her performances include studio sessions, festivals, concerts, and club venues. She has also explored her talents as an actress doing background work, her latest being “Dream Girls.”
From the beginning of her career as a child and throughout, Kari has had the opportunity to work with some of the best songwriter/artists in the business, such as Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, Antonio "LA" Reid, Jon B., Stevie Wonder, Sheldon Reynolds (of Earth, Wind, & Fire), Craig T. Kari's new single entitled, “Love Come Down” was released on May 17, 2011 on her own Indie Record Label, Earforce One Records (http://www.earforceonerecords.com) and she is currently in the studio writing with Producer, Wendell Wellman completing her EP project. Her songs show her diversified range and smooth, soulful, but powerful vocals complimenting the genres of R&B, Pop and Jazz.

Giving back has never been a problem for Kari as she is a noted philanthropist. Kari is the Founder, Chairman, and CEO of her own non-profit Organization called “The HUSH Foundation” (http://www.thehushfoundation.org) where she is dedicated to assisting children, teens and supporting the Elderly. The proceeds from her debut Single entitled “Love Come Down (The Remake) will be used to fund The HUSH Foundation so that she can continue to support her community.
