Name : Lyczacza
Resident : Poland
Instruments : Band, Composers, Producers

Lyczacza was founded in the spring of 2002 in Gdynia, Poland. The inspiration for this music decisively came from legendary South American sounds, flavoured especially by artists like Sergio Mendes, A.C. Jobim oder Joao Gilberto.
lyczacza

“Fine, Latino rhythmic impulses within a melodic jazz climate. Often melancholic Themes full of warmth and intimacy.” Describes the personal style of the group.

He is the founder of two well-known bands, “No Limits” and Leszcze.

In our society today, with its tensions and ever increasing tempo, Maciej tries with Lyczacza to nurture a basic human need: Inner beauty and a soul full of dreams. Wrapped in flowing melodies and dreamy, naive lyrics, this music has more depth than one at first thinks.

The debut album, “Latino 69” is the product of these thoughts.- The recording was played exclusively on acoustical instruments, with a conscious rejection of technical effects and digital innovation.

Never seeming merely cool, guitar, piano, bass and percussion weave a sinuous texture around the relaxed voice of Marta Kubaczyk.

Joie de vivre and the romantic; humour and simplicity with a dash of naivité; spiced with seductive sensuality and subtle melancholy mark the sound of the band from Gdynia.

No posing, just pure understatement. Lyczacza lives with rhythms that are playful, that move and reflect todays' music.
