Nate Harasim Produces #1 Billboard Single

Have you ever had a song that just wouldn't get out of your head?  The beat and the groove were just more than you mind could comprehend.  You're blown away, pulled away from the obvious and propelled into the unknown a place where music, rhythm and rhyme defies time. You know it's a dangerous obsession but you surrender helplessly as your body moves and your pulse marks time to the sinister sounds that rock your soul. Welcome to the realm of the beat master producer and keyboardist Nate Harasim.

Nate's production skills have been ruling the groove from behind the control panel in recent years.  At the time of writing this press release, his production for artist Steve Oliver's "Fun in the sun" is in its second week at #1 on the Billboard Chart. Currently in production and writing for Maxine Hardcastle (80s pop icon Paul Hardcastle's daughter), it is expected that the music will propel Harasim's notoriety into the pop, rock, house genres and beyond.

The biggest challenge this young lion has faced is the fact that his music refuses to be captured within the context of one particular genre. His recent singing to two different divisions of the same record label further adds to the mystique of this artist.  Although Harasim recently signed with Trippin N' Rhythm Records / Sony BMG as a contemporary jazz artist and is scheduled to perform at the American Smooth Jazz Awards in October as the most up and coming artist and producer, he's also signed with Trippin Out Records / Sony BMG for his music that falls in the Top 40, club and hip hop realms.

Perhaps the answer to the musical labeling dilemma lies in the fact that the Michigan native grew up intensely influenced by Motown. His childhood was spent in nearby Lapeer, Michigan and his musical training was fashioned by the Flint Institute of Music.  A current resident of Grand Blanc, this US Navy veteran has the fearlessness of all that is Detroit embedded in his soul.

"Michigan is a great state. The people and the music have a resilience that stands the test of time. Growing up at the feet of her music has shaped who I am today," said Harasim.

Always on the move to explore the boundaries of music, Harasim recently wrote for 2x Grammy nominee and Hollywood Walk of Fame artist Dave Koz.  Additionally, he's in his eighth year as a Yamaha endorsed artist and will be releasing a new album on March 1, 2011 with the first single hitting the airwaves January 1, 2011.  Stay tuned for a formal release and title to be announced later.  Clearly, the future of this young artist is on the rise.  He's definitely one to watch.
