JazzNet247 Radio - Discover New Music Today

The JazzNet247 Project has always been interested in promoting the Jazz Genre, the musicians and providing a showcase for the music and raising the profile. We have always highlighted the music of the Independent Artists and Labels from around the world and tried to play music from ' Outside Of The Box ' hence our slogan ' Discover New Music Today '. To play music that listeners can hear on the usual suspects of commercial stations would be pointless in my opinion.

The Next Stage
We are moving to the next stage of the project which is to develop this website and online music shows and since the beginning of the year we have added :-

* ' Xtra ' which consists of THREE NEW DEDICATED CHANNELS courtesy of Reverb Nation featuring the three jazz sub genres which we feature on our main Channel One Show at Live365.com,

* ' Artist Spotlight ' which has a featured artist from our JazzNet247 Family Of Friends section each week and an autonomous ECard Presentation with Track Samples, Photos and Website links. Meet This Week's Artist by clicking the link at the top of the page.

* ' Replay ' features a previous show courtesy of Reverb Nation and you may view the playlist and which show is featured at our Archive Shows Section.

* ' Forthcoming Shows ' highlights the up-and-coming shows. Learn more >>

* ' Producer's Notes ' highlights is all about what's happening with the project currently and plans for the future.

* ' Comments Wall '
The ' Comments Wall ' is now available for musicians and surfers alike' for listeners to give us feedback on the Radio Show and Website and recommendations for any other bits and pieces which they would enjoy to see and hear on the project. Record Labels and Artists alike may submit their details and EPKs for inclusion on the project.

* ' JazzNet247 Recommends '
The ' JazzNet247 Recommends ' section showcases mainly independent artists and music which we personally think deserves a word of not. click through the artists' Biography pages to learn more and listen to further sound samples.

* ' The JazzNet247 Website '
We have been freshning up the website recently and making it easier for surfers to find sections that interest them, now there is a Fast Track jump menu at the top of each page to go directly to featured sections throughout the project.

* ' The JazzNet247 ENewsletter '
The new ' JazzNet247 ENewsletter ' is being redesigned and will be launched in March along with a new Electronic Press Kit which will be FREE to members of our Family Of Friends. If any artist, festival or relevant association has information for the ENewsletter, please contact us through our Comments Wall or Contact Page.

Social Networking Sites
We have become a lot more active on the Social Networking websites such as Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, Jazz Network Worldwide and also on Reverb Nation and Last FM, links to all these networks may be found at the bottom of all of the webpages. Please send us your requests to link up if you see us at any of the sites.

Record Labels
We would be delighted to hear from any record label whose artists and music would fit into our show format, having personally been the webmaster to Sony Jazz UK ( CBS, Columbia, Epic, Legacy, CTI, Sony Jazz ) for six years we were delighted to showcase their impressive roster of artists on our previous show entitly on JazzNet247 along with Heads Up and Telarc channels.

Nowadays we are delighted to have an association with the top Smooth Jazz label Shanachie Records, Far Out Records, Ishtar Records in Italy, the leading label in London for Brazilian Flavours, Innervisions in the USA.

Smooth Jazz Festivals
We were delighted to do some on-site promotion for the Smooth Jazz Festival Team from Germany and hopefully we contributed in a small way to the success in Munich in September 2009. Congratulations to Chris Bossner and his team for a job really well done. I believe they are staying in Munich in 2010 which is unfortunate as we are now located near Bregenz in Austria where they held their first festival in 2008 ;>)
