Q - Who Are You ?

A - I have been in the music business for 50 years in many capacities since I was 5 and worked in 24 countries worldwide as a radio and club presenter, musician, club owner, music shop retailer, guitar teacher, promoter, marketeer, multimedia host and webhost to three jazz projects since 1994, The Jazz Site, The EuroClubdeJazz and JazzNet247.

During this time I was also webhost and designer to a major jazz label (Sony Jazz UK between 1999 - 2005) who owned arguably the greatest jazz catalogue ever recorded including CBS, Columbia, Legacy, Epic, CTI and their own Sony Jazz label.

Nowadays we do not have an allegiance to any record company and welcome any and all to get involved in the project if they think it would be useful for their artists.

The name JazzNet247 means Jazz Network available anytime 24/7.

The website is available to promote ALL JAZZ ARTISTS not just the Smooth, Vocal and Brazilian sub genres who we feature on our current Radio Show.
Q - Where Are You ?

A - Currently the project is based near London, England but the plan is to relocate to Bregenz in Austria, Central Europe.
Q - What's The Project All About ?

A - Like its predecessors The Jazz Site and The EuroClubdeJazz, JazzNet247 it is all about raising the awareness of the jazz genre and finding a new audience for this wonderful music and the artists who continue to uphold the legacy. It particularly focuses on helping the independent artists and labels whose music doesn't always receive the recognition it deserves.

The next phase of the project is to use our JazzNet247 Family Of Friends section of our website as a showcase or ' Musical Yellow Pages ' whereby promoters of festivals, gigs,
clubs, producers, agents, inhouse / inflight production companies could view our listings and perhaps hire the artist for a future engagement.

We are just starting to include ' On-Air ' Artists' Profile Interviews on our Radio Shows which will be broadcast during our weekly shows and the complete interview will also be available therafter on the artist's Biography page for their perusal at our JazzNet247 Family Of Friends directory.

Q - Who Is The Target Audience ?

A - Well that falls into TWO categories :- 1) The Artists and 2) The Music Listener

The website is available to promote ALL JAZZ ARTISTS not just the sub genres that we feature on our current Radio Show.

1) The Artists - We would like to help the artists promote their music and find a platform to showcase it on radio, video and through live performances. It is a two way street however and we depend on the artists supplying information / music to highlight on our shows.

During the past 15 years online our shows have always focused on the indie artists and labels as the major artists probably get enough exposure already.

2) The Music Listener - We would like to showcase the depth of wonderful music available and not just the 20 - 30 artists and bands who are featured on most commercial radio stations. Being a non commercial project means we do not need to bow to featuring 'The Artists Who Sell Adverts' although we love the major artists as well.

We also dedicate much of our Radio Shows to older cuts which may be new to many and may have been overlooked the first time around.

Q - What's In It For Me ?

A - For artists, we add them to our JazzNet247 Family Of Friends section, our monthly ENewsletter mailed out to our Subscriber Listings and our MySpace Friends. Their music is featured as often as the current weekly themes permit.

The next phase will be to showcase this section to promoters of live and recorded events.

We will also be introducing new features to the Radio Show including 'Artists' Featured Trax', 'Artist Profile Interviews' and 'Spotlight' features.

We also have a project which could sell many thousands of artists music to one client as opposed to the advertising and promotional costs involved to sell one CD to one music fan.

This project won our parent company AGMAMI.com a national music industry marketing award in the USA for 'Media Innovation'. The artist sold 2,500 units in the first run and further thousands of units in a re-order and future projects.

We already invite ALL JAZZ ARTISTS to submit information for our website's News Section which contains 'Recent CD Releases', 'Festivals And Events', 'Friends Of JazzNet247' and 'Gig, Tour and Concert Guide'.

We also have a Powerplay Chart with tracks featured and requested for on the Radio Show.

And NEW to the website is a Video Centre where we showcase Smooth Jazz, Great Vocals and Brazilian Flavours from many of today's popular artists and tracks courtesy of YouTube.

Q - Does It Cost Anything ?

A - No it doesn't cost the artists or listeners anything, listeners to the Radio Show can tune in FREE to listen anytime in super CD quailty.

Artists may submit their information and tracks through our Contact Us page.

The project is a modest affair but our experience and enthusiasm creates 'Added Value' which we hope will benefit the artists and the industry and who knows, we might attract some kind sponsorships in the future if it is destined to be.

The amount of interest already has been very encouraging from agents, promoters, artists and other industry people wanting to know how they can help, promote it and participate.

We are working closely with the Smooth Jazz Festival in Germany and hope to tie up up some joint ventures in the future.
Q - How Can I Help ?

A - Working on a shoestring budget means advertising is prohibited so we would really like you to spread the word to your friends, colleagues, fellow musicians and point them to the Website, Radio Show and ENewsletter and tell them about the great music and the project's aims and goals.

We would be delighted if artists could update us with Biographies, Photos, New CDs, Tour And Gig News and if they could record some bespoke jingles for the Radio Show advertising the Station and their CDs. Learn more about it at our Contact Us page.

We would appreciate the listeners' support by rating the Radio Show at Live365.com, this helps us get ranked in their own league tables in the jazz genres we represent and become more visible to the online listeners. Visit our page and click the PLAY button to activate the show and on the PLAY AREA you can give us a rating. ( Excellent would be fine ;>) but only if you think it's true )

We would be delighted to exchange website links with anyone involved in the promotion of the jazz genre. Please get in touch at our Contact Us page.
Q - How Can I Contact You ?

A - You may contact us through our Contact Us page at our website

or through MySpace at MySpace.com/jazznet247

We welcome your suggestions, input and ideas to make it better.
