TIME OUT on JazzNet247 Radio

We are pleased to announce a new channel on JazzNet247 Radio called TIME OUT which is presented by the artists themselves. They include 3 of their own songs and 21 tracks from their own personal favourites. They may explain about the songs, associations they may have bonded and what they mean to them.

I think that broadcasting music is all about touching the emotions of the listener in such a way that they want to crossover from 'hearing a song' to actually 'listening to it' and touching their inner self. If we can touch the soul of just one listener with a song , then we have passed on a gift that is so rare in this life.

I have also felt that music taste is a very personal thing and different songs mean different things to those who enjoy it. I guess everyone wants others to hear their own favourite music, and being a music presenter for 45 years I feel privileged that it has given me this opportunity.

Personally music has always acted like a camera in my head and related to a certain 'moment in time'. When I hear a song from the past it reminds me instantly of where I was, with whom and what I was doing at that time. I am sure that songs touch others in this way and many hold a certain joy or perhaps sadness to the individual.

Therefore I believe that our new channel TIME OUT channel offers a more personal insight into the artist's present and past and they can explain how their own songs were conceived as well as the other anecdotes and personal choices on their playlist.
